Beanie Feldstein is ENGAGED! Booksmart actress set to marry girlfriend Bonnie Chance Roberts

Beanie Feldstein has announced she’s engaged to be married to girlfriend Bonnie Chance Roberts after a three year romance.

On Thursday, the Booksmart actress posted snaps from the romantic proposal with Bonnie getting down on one knee, with Beanie’s brother Jonah Hill in attendance.

Beanie’s girlfriend Bonnie, 31, was dressed smartly in black trousers and a gray patterned jacket as she popped the question in front of their family and friends.

The 28-year-old actress – who recently starred as Fanny Brice in a revival of Funny Girl on Broadway – wore a pink and white gingham dress and sandals, as she looked visibly overwhelmed in the pictures.

She captioned the romantic post, simply: ‘I do, bon.’

Beanie is said to have met Bonnie while working on the 2019 film How to Build a Girl, where Bonnie was listed as co-producer.

Bonnie – who is from Liverpool, England and a graduate of Birmingham University – has no other co-producing credits to her name currently, though she was linked to the 2019 movie Cats.

How to Build a Girl – based on a novel by Caitlin Moran – received mixed reviews and failed to bring in any profit at the box office, but it was clearly a personal success to lead star Beanie.

In an interview with Teen Vogue, Beanie said Bonnie’s gender and being in a same-sex romance wasn’t an issue because, ‘I was in love with her and all of her.’

The couple made things official when Beanie shared a snap of them together in October 2018 with the caption: ‘She made it across the pond.’

A year later, Beanie spoke to PEOPLE Magazine about how the label ‘queer’ doesn’t define her, saying: ‘For me in my life, it is a part of who I am but it is not at all my defining feature.’

In a very gushing birthday tribute to the film producer, Beanie wrote in a 2020 Instagram post: ‘happy 30th birthday to the most remarkable human ever to exist. @bonnie_chance – I’m pretty convinced you’re actually made of magic. ‘

Adding: ‘the girl with the warmest heart, the most expansive imagination and the most exceptional brain. i love you so much. happy birthday, bubba !!! ‘

The proposal will come as good news for Beanie, who will leave the Broadway production of Funny Girl in September following tepid reviews.

Lea Michele is now in the running to replace her.

With Beanie in the lead role, Funny Girl did not become the smashing success producers had hoped for.

She will make her final performance as Fanny Brice at the August Wilson Theater on September 25.

‘I’ll never be able to find the words that could even begin to explain what the experience has been to me,’ the actress shared on Instagram following the news that she would be stepping down.

She added, ‘I gave and will continue to give this show all of me. I am immensely proud to be a bagel on a plate full of onion rolls. I am so deeply grateful for every other bagel that comes to Henry Street with us every night. Can’t wait to see you all there through September. ‘
